“Ma Fren Ma fren”
Caress me with your wondering claws oh ye pain,
Let me remember your touch every time anybody says my name.
I have put up with you for the longest,
I have cried and endured your scorn; it is only right that I call you friend.
With your foot on my neck, I am living my best life,
Moving forward, I am going to need more weight like I’m done with a dumbbell.
With my left hand on my chin, you got me sitting at a corner in my room, left you all the space so you can jump well.
I can’t give in to jokes and memes, so I can have you relax, please, let it be known that I am a good host.
I’ll take you with all your baggage. Anxiety and worry be a couple of savages, oh how I enjoy the rendition of their dark duet, brings me to tears every night.
Pain is “lame”, That is why I carry it around, I’m too nice.
Lame spice of life, Pepper on my pizza, I’ll take a slice. (Pain is to life, what pepper is to food).
Take a seat, let my insecurities feed you.
Pride yourself around like you paid for my heart beat.
I can’t afford for procrastination, Insufficient funds but I have been paying in time.
Recognize your pain, let it be the hot-sauce for the little chip in brain, that tells you that you are too hurt to move on.
Let it spice up your life and help you swallow, you pride, when you fall; because it is humility that helps you rise again.
Get going.
